Wins keep coming for Tiger Cubs JV girls

The Greencastle girls' junior varsity basketball team picked up its first win of 2013 on Thursday, beating Speedway 43-27.

The Tiger Cubs (12-1) were led in scoring by Marley Haltom's 11 points.

"All nine players scored in the game," GHS coach Matthew Welker said. "It was a great, balanced scoring attack."

GHS jumped out to a 16-6 lead after the first quarter and didn't let up. They forced 26 turnovers and allowed just four free throw attempts.

The Tiger Cubs return to action Thursday when they play at South Putnam at 6 p.m.
