Fillmore Christian and United Methodist churches coming together for worship

FILLMORE -- The Fillmore Christian Church began renovations to the interior of its 102-year-old building this week. For the duration of the 12-week renovation, Fillmore United Methodist Church has graciously invited Fillmore Christian Church to join its Sunday worship.

Pastor Bryan Palmer-Smith of Fillmore UMC and Pastor Mike Faust of FCC will alternate preaching each week, beginning with Pastor Palmer-Smith giving the welcome message on Sunday, Jan. 20.

Worship will follow the more liturgical style of the United Methodist Church on the Sundays Pastor Palmer-Smith preaches and will follow the more relaxed style of the Christian Church when Pastor Faust preaches.

Communion will be served each week.

Visitors from the community are invited to share in the joint services at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Sunday School classes for all ages are offered at 9:30 a.m.

Fillmore UMC is located at 221 S. Main St., Fillmore.
