County Jail

Three people have been booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* On Thursday, Jan. 17 at 2:05 p.m. Kyle Alan McCammon, 24, Cloverdale, was arrested for domestic battery and strangulation.

At 3:55 p.m. Dakota James Carpenter, 20, Greencastle, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

* On Friday, Jan. 18 at 6 a.m. Christopher Dominic Bauder, 34, Ladoga, was charged with residential entry, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.

City Police

A 24-year-old Coatesville woman is facing shoplifting charges following a Thursday afternoon incident at the Greencastle Walmart store.

Kaley R. Garrison was arrested by Officer Darrel Bunten and lodged in the Putnam County Jail at 12:45 p.m. She later bonded out.

Authorities say Garrison took food items, makeup, car freshener and a lock, valued at a total of $63.96, without paying for them.

The suspect reportedly put the items in a tote bag and placed the bag under her stroller cart and then pushed the stroller out the door without paying.

Sheriff's Department

* On Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 3:10 p.m. a driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 40 in eastern Putnam County.

Jordan P. Gallant, 23, Terre Haute, was eastbound on U.S. 40 at County Road 725 East in a 2001 Ford Ranger. Gilbert M. Query, 19, Greencastle, attempted to cross U.S. 40 from the north in a 2000 Hyundai and reportedly pulled directly into Gallant's path.

Query said he did not see Gallant's pickup as he crossed the highway.

Query was treated by Operation Life for back pain.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

* On Thursday, Jan. 17 at 7:02 a.m. Carl W. Loveall, 48, Rosedale, was southbound on County Road 250 East in a 2004 Jeep Wrangler.

Loveall met a northbound vehicle, at which time he got off the edge of the road and was unable to correct.

He struck a fence and a utility pole.

Damage was estimated at $5,001-$10,000.
