Richard A. 'Rick' Fulford

Richard A. "Rick" Fulford, 53, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

Rick was born on March 10, 1959 in Greencastle, to Lindell L. Fulford and Thelma M. Treadway Fulford.

His father and a sister, Linda Mahurin, preceded him in death.

Rick had been employed at DePauw University for 30 years, where he was the grounds superintendent.

He was an avid stock car racer. He built, raced and repaired cars, and was in the process of restoring a 1955 Chevy.

He also enjoyed playing golf, especially with his son Cody.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Karrie; his mother, Thelma M. Fulford; a daughter, Trisha Fulford and fiancée Bobby Barger; a son, Cody Fulford; a brother, Ronald "Ron" Fulford; a grandson, Blaine Barger; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Dr. C. Michael Wren Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services on Monday at the funeral home.
