Dorothy Lucille 'Lou' Roach

Dorothy Lucille "Lou" (Williamson) Roach, 86, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 in Carmel. She was a resident of Whiteland.

Lou was born June 30, 1926 in Cloverdale to Tom and Beulah (Mitscher) Williamson.

She was a teacher's aide for 15 years at Indianapolis Public Schools.

Lou enjoyed knitting, quilting and crocheting.

She was a past member of the Millersville Eastern Star in Indianapolis and a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Whiteland.

Survivors include four children, Darlene (Bob) Sample of Franklin, Donna Richards of Carmel, Jeff Roach of Whiteland and Tammy (Terry) Eastham of Greencastle; seven grandchildren, Angie (Ed) Branstutter, Kim (Jimmy) Inabitt, Joshua Richards, Jennifer (Greg) Park, Kyle Roach, Courtney Roach and Samantha Rollings; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Roach; a brother, Austin Williamson; and a sister, Thelma Pritchard.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday Jan. 31 at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. 31 North.

Friends and family may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
