Friday Jam: It's the End of the World as We Know It - R.E.M.
I'm presenting the Friday Jam this week with limited comment.
If baseball is still on your mind, it has meaning there. If you were on the winning side, you've entered a new reality. Rock out and revel in the energy of this song. If you were on the other side? It's OK and even encouraged to feel fine, even as the world seems to be collapsing.
For those of you who are more politically minded — regardless of your party — this song probably has a different meaning right now. It may feel to you like we're on a slow march toward our doom on Tuesday and whatever result it brings.
I assure you we're not, but it's hard not to think. Listen to this song, try to smile and realize the sun will rise on Wednesday morning (about an hour earlier than it does now, BTW).
For me? It's just one of my favorite songs. I started this feature as a rockin' way to start each weekend. I've gotten away from that in some recent posts, so I'm getting back to it today.
Enjoy your weekend and be good, people.
