The Greencastle girls' varsity swimming team won its first meet of the season Thursday, defeating Crawfordsville 97-86. Leading the way for the Tiger Sharks, seniors Kendi Thomas and Alys Moore each won three events in the meet. Thomas won the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, while Moore won the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke. The tandem teamed with Kelsey Murtaugh and Erica Soster to also win the 200-yard medley relay...

Although the South Putnam High School wrestling team was young and inexperienced last season, this year should prove different. The Eagles have three experienced seniors returning this year, along a couple of juniors and a large group of sophomores to lead the team this year, including several lettermen from last year...

In his fourth year coaching the Cloverdale varsity wrestling team, Head Coach Brian Siddons is facing a challenge. After losing five seniors from last year's team, the Clovers are lacking experience this season. "It's definitely a rebuilding year," Siddons said. "We are young. We only have two juniors, but one of them is a first-year wrestler."...
