David W. Jones, 64, Avon, died Saturday at Davenport, Fla. Born in Greencastle, he was the son of William Louis and Ardith (Long) Jones. He married Karen (Chapman) Jones, and she survives. He retired from General Motors in 1999. Additional survivors include his mother, of Greencastle; a son, Brent Jones, Plainfield; a daughter, Nikki Jones, Plainfield; a stepson, Brent Taylor, Danville; a stepdaughter, Brenda Taylor, Avon; two brothers, Steve Jones, Koleen, Ind., and Kim Jones, Brazil; four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.. ...

High School in 1942, Wayland Acad-emy and Junior College in Beaver Dam in 1943, earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1946, and a bachelor of library science from the University of Wisconsin Library School in 1947...

Margaret Ruth Miller, 86, Greencastle, died Friday at The Waters of Greencastle. Born in Fillmore, she was the daughter of Phillip and Jenny (Campbell) Carpenter.
