Paving work prepared at Big Walnut

Work has begun on the improvements scheduled for Big Walnut Sports Park and the section that now belongs to the Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department. Greencastle's own aspiring pop rock band, TGL, is in the spotlight of the college-centered cable music channel mtvU. And band members are hoping the third time's the charm for their shot at fame and maybe a little fortune. The four musicians from Greencastle are among the top 25 bands, picked from thousands, competing for the title of "Best Music on Campus" at mtvU's 2007 Woody Awards...

Tickets on sale this week at DPU bookstore

Tickets for the 114th Monon Bell Classic on Nov. 10 go on sale this week at DePauw University. On Monday and Tuesday, DePauw students, staff and faculty may go to the DePauw University Bookstore in the lower level of the Memorial Student Union Building and pick up their complimentary tickets by showing their valid DePauw ID. Current students may pick up one ticket, while staff and faculty will be allowed no more than two. During these two days there will be no cash purchases available...
