Luminarias light up community

The annual 5,000 Lights Luminaria display on the DePauw University campus, coordinated by the Bonner Scholars Program, will be Tuesday evening Dec. 4. This year's event is a true community-wide celebration, as it will coincide with the Greencastle Civic League's "Lights of Love" program on the downtown square. The soy-based votive candles used in the luminaria were handmade by DePauw retiree Bonnie Crawley, and sand was provided by Headley Hardware...

Putnam County Classic postponed out of respect for injured Cougar players

Some things are a whole lot bigger than basketball. With this in mind, the athletic directors and boys' basketball coaches of Putnam County decided to indefinitely postpone Saturday's Putnam County Classic games. The decision came on the heels of a one-vehicle accident involving North Putnam players Cory Dean and Zach Hedrick Saturday afternoon.
