Greencastle's baseball team won its second game in a row with another one-point victory over Speedway 10-9 Tuesday night. Again the Tiger Cubs used some late inning heroics to get the win. WEST VIGO -- Terre Haute North proved to be too much for the Greencastle girls' track squad as they finished in second place with 61.5 total points. GHS had four individuals capture first place finishes on the night. Dee Wood took the 100 with a time of 13.21, while Laura Weatherford won the 200 in a time of 26.81. Wednesday brush fire spreads to home

An unattended brush fire is apparently the cause for a house catching fire Wednesday morning, causing firefighters from several local agencies to respond. According to fire officials from the scene, Robert Koenig, 1223 E. CR 200 South, Greencastle, was burning leaves in a container behind his home. He left the leaves unattended and they began to burn out of control, the flames somehow leaping to his nearby home...
