CLOVERDALE -- Coming off its third place finish in last year's Putnam County Tournament, Cloverdale was poised to surprise some people. GREENCASTLE -- The trial date of a Greenc astle man charged with Class A felony attempted murder has been pushed back. Justin Hargrove, 25, was set for trial on Jan. 12, but that trial will now begin on Jan. 18. Hargrove was one of four people involved in a shooting incident that happened April 5 in Greencastle...

GREENCASTLE -- A Greencastle man convicted in 2008 of Class B felony dealing in a schedule II controlled substance and Class C felony contributing to the delinquency of a minor and sentenced to 13 years has been released from jail. GREENCASTLE -- A Greencastle man convicted of battering his mother was sentenced in Putnam County Circuit Court Thursday to eight years in jail. GREENCASTLE -- A Van Bibber Lake man who shot his neighbor to death in April has been given an 18-year sentence. Matthew Buis, 40, pled guilty on Nov. 22 to Class B felony voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Clifford Hulse, 57. Buis was originally charged with Class A felony voluntary manslaughter, but the charge was reduced under the terms of a plea agreement...
