Linda Merkel (left) of the Putnam County Youth Development Commission receives a check for $450 from Dorothy Wells, president of Putnam County Extension Homemakers. The donation to support Putnam County Coats for Kids is half of what was taken in at the second annual Halloween Festival which was planned and sponsored by Putnam County Extension Homemakers. The remaining half of the proceeds will go to the Putnam County Fair Board for programming to support local youth through 4-H. -
