MONROVIA -- The Greencastle boys' junior varsity basketball team was crowned WCC champs with a hard-fought 44-36 overtime win at Monrovia Thursday night. A nip-and-tuck game from the beginning saw the young Tiger Cubs hit free-throws down the stretch to pull out the win...

ROACHDALE -- After the Homecoming festivities had concluded, North Putnam's boys' basketball squad had a chance to sweep the rest of the Putnam County schools with a win over South Putnam Friday night. The Eagles, who had won two of three, made it three of four with a blistering offensive output, knocking off the Cougars for a 72-64 win...

ROACHDALE -- North Putnam High School's homecoming Friday night was a chance for the Cougars' girls' basketball squad to grab some momentum heading into sectional play. South Putnam was also looking to do so and, after a tight first half of play, got the early scores needed to deflate the home side and take a 47-35 win in the season finale for both squads...

After falling behind early, the Greencastle boys' basketball team battled its way back before coming up short to Monrovia 45-40. The Tiger Cubs struggled in the first half, but came out firing in the third quarter to tie the ball game up at 33-all. However, they faltered in the fourth quarter, struggling at the free throw line, allowing the Bulldogs to grab the win...
