McHard Hat Zone
(Local News ~ 06/20/12)
With construction work continuing on the remodeling and expansion of the Greencastle McDonald's at Indianapolis Road and Percy Julian Drive, the drive-through became a drive-around Tuesday. With CFH Contractors of Knightstown moving to the east side of the building to continue their efforts, that necessitated shifting the drive-through line away from the building for safety reasons. Hard hat-wearing construction workers even passed money back and forth behind cars and cashiers during the morning, while helmeted McDonald's employees carried orders from the window to vehicles in line. McDonald's officials expect the expansion project -- which includes increasing the size of the parking area to the west and the dining room to the north -- to be completed by Aug. 3.
