North Putnam competes at Charger Classic

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The North Putnam cross country team traveled north to compete at North Montgomery's Charger Classic Thursday. The boys' placed fifth on the day, while the girls' were unable to compete with a full team. Dalton Spear, who placed 5th overall with a time of 18:22, led the boys' on the night. Chase Salyers was 55th in a time of 22:24, while Trae Straziscar was 57th with a time of 22:30. Trebor Mason finished 69th in a time of 24:23. Elisha Volland was 71st overall with a time of 25:06, with Nick Ballard placing 75th with a time of 28:26. Darian Brown rounded out the Cougars runners with a 77th place finish with a time of 28:53. In the girls' race, Katie Douglas was 58th with a time of 28:24, while Alex Land was 73rd with a time of 31:51. Claire Dean finished 75th overall with a time of 33:06. In the freshman/sophomore race, North Putnam's Trent Mason was the Cougars' only competitor, placing sixth.
