A 53-year-old Greencastle man was fatally stabbed Wednesday evening and his 21-year-old son is in custody as a result of the homicide. The deadly incident occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m. at 906 Crown St., near the intersection of Ohio Street, in Greencastle's South End...

City Police A two-vehicle accident was investigated Tuesday morning at Jackson and Walnut streets by Greencastle City Police officers. Robert Zaring, 56, Fillmore, was northbound on Jackson Street, driving a 1993 Toyota pickup, while Jane Hurley, 75, Greencastle, was westbound, driving a 2011 Toyota Camry...

Greencastle American Legion is having a steak dinner on Friday, Sept. 14. The dinner includes a 12-ounce. rib eye steak, baked potato, salad, dessert and Texas toast for $10.

Although Greencastle volleyball dropped a hard-fought three set decision to Terre Haute South Thursday, the Tiger Cubs continue to show improvement and gave the Braves all they could handle. The Putnam County Hopsital for the first time ever recently received a donation from the Extension Homemakers Group "Family, Friends and Fun."
