First off, I'd like to give a big congratulations to junior Luke Brotherton from Greencastle for qualifying for the state tournament as an individual. It is really an exciting thing and a huge accomplishment, and I hope our community finds time to wish him luck at some point during or afterwards to tell him good job...

ROME-- A Greencastle native passed away early Tuesday morning following an accident in Italy. Andrew Keith Carr, 21, was a 2011 Greencastle High School graduate who recently completed his sophomore year at Marquette University in Milwaukee. At around 2 a.m. local time, Carr fell from a ledge along the banks of the Tiber River. He was walking with some friends who said he lost his balance and slipped, falling approximately 50 feet...

Allen Eugene Hughes, 54, Cloverdale, passed away on June 11, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on Nov. 20, 1958, in Putnam County and was the son of Vera Hughes and the late Larry Hughes. He married Teresa (Hunt) Hughes on Aug. 26, 1979, and she survives in Cloverdale. ...
