In a caucus of the 30 Putnam County Republican precinct committeemen Saturday morning, Max Watts was chosen as the new Putnam County District 2 Commissioner. Watts was chosen from a field of seven candidates, obtaining the required majority of the 30 votes after two rounds of voting.

Joseph Thomas Frame, 75, of Cloverdale, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at Mill Pond Health Campus in Greencastle with his family at his side. Joseph was born on June 15, 1938 in Indianapolis to Joseph and Velma Frame. He served as a recovery specialist in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959...

The Putnam Couty Airport was a busy place this weekend as many turned up to enjoy a day of family fun at Airport Appreciation Days. Many Putnam County youngsters got the opportunity to fly as a part of the EAA Young Eagle Rides program.
