Delbert L. "Tom" Rowe, 72, Greencastle, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at The Waters of Greencastle. He was born Feb. 23, 1941 at Connersville, Ind., the son of Delbert C. Rowe and Ada (Sasher) Comstock. His parents preceded him in death. He was a Shelby County Sheriff's Department deputy from 1962-66. He then joined the Indianapolis Police Department, where he served for 31 years until his retirement in 1999...

Richard (Rick) Harrington Buehler, 72, graduated from Crown Point High School in 1959 and received a BA and MA from Ball State University in 1963 and 1965, respectively, and an MARE from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1994...

Bradley Steven Gibson, 44, of Fillmore, passed away on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. Born Aug. 20, 1969 in Indianapolis, he is the son of Greg and Blanche (Dixon) Gibson. He was a graduate of Avon High School and had attended Ivy Tech Community College. Bradley was a front-load driver for Ray's Trash Service and had previously been a driver for Putnam County Rural Transit...

ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam girls' soccer team beat visiting Edgewood 3-1 on Saturday. Freshmen Christa McRoy, Kaelynn Abner and Emilee Henninger each scored a goal. Abner, Henninger and senior Rebecca Booth each had an assist. "The team play and the passing was phenomenal today," NPHS coach Willie Gaskins said. "We worked as a team to get the ball up the field and take it into the attacking third. We as a team are really coming together and playing as one unit on the field."...

CLAYTON -- The switch from mid-summer heat to a fall morning was a welcome change for cross country runners at the John Mitchell Invitational Saturday morning.
