ROACHDALE -- The North Putnam football team welcomed Monrovia to its home field for a Friday night, West Central Conference showdown. The game was full of drama and big plays as the Bulldogs pulled it out 36-22. The Cougar defense, despite giving up 36 points, played very well. All of Monrovia's touchdowns came on big plays of more than 28 yards, excepting one, an 11-yard run...

Mt. Vernon of Posey County made the three-hour trek to Putnam County for the first time, taking on South Putnam Friday night. The trip back will be filled with images of Lucas Lorian galloping through the Wildcat defense as the SPHS junior running back amassed 288 yards and six touchdowns to propel the Eagles to a 45-21 victory...

The Greencastle football team came into the season with big goals and, despite entering Friday's game with Cloverdale with just one loss, they hadn't quite lived up to them. The Tiger Cubs beat the Clovers, 49-24, and moved the ball through the air better than they have all year, but they're still not where they need to be, GHS coach Josh Buis said...

DePauw's distribution of complimentary tickets to its students, faculty and staff for the Nov. 16 Monon Bell football game are under way, while sales to the general public start on Monday, October 14, according to Theodore M. Katula Director of Athletics Stevie Baker-Watson.
