An accident occurred at 12:42 p.m. on Monday as Thomas B. Wheeler, 78, Greencastle, was westbound on Franklin Street approaching the stop sign at Arlington Street. Investigating officer Ed Wilson stated that Wheeler's foot then slipped and hit the gas pedal instead of the brake in his 2001 Lincoln Town Car causing him to swerve into the parking lot at the Lifebuilder Community Center. ...

Shirley Ann (Albright) Pruitt, 62, passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014 at 10:20 a.m. Born on Feb. 8,1951 to Claude and Ruth (Vaught) Albright, she was the oldest of two children.
