CLOVERDALE--Breast Cancer is a major problem in our world today and many organizations host charity events to fight it. Thursday night the Cloverdale Clovers and North Putnam Cougars volleyball teams did a pink out night to do their part. Coaches Kathy Moore (Cloverdale) and Jill Schreiber (former North Putnam coach) started the event five years ago and in the last couple of years they have raised nearly $2,500 for cancer patients here in Putnam County...

Jerry Allen Chestnut, 42, passed away at 8:56 am on September 24, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes. Jerry was born on Sept. 13, 1972, the son of Carl David and Gillis (Henzman) Chestnut. Jerry loved to fish with his daughters. He enjoyed playing pool, riding motorcycles and working on cars and anything mechanical. He was a coal miner and welder at one time as well...
