Fittingly outfitted in junior firefighter gear, Quinton Seaver, seven-year-old son of Kacey and Mike Seaver, Greencastle, takes a turn at the wheel of one of the Greencastle Fire Department trucks on display during the department's open house Thursday evening. Quinton is the grandson of retired longtime city firefighter and former Chief Mike O'Hair. Despite a threat of rain, the 14th annual open house had its best turnout ever, fire officials said, as youngsters and families enjoyed games, firehouse tours, equipment demonstrations and a bounce house, along with treats like hotdogs and cake. The event annually kicks off Fire Prevention Month activities for GFD.
