Vera June Evens, 97, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 at Mill Pond Health Campus. Born June 22, 1917 in Madison Township in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Clarence F. and Orpha (Martin) Rowings. Vera graduated from Greencastle High School in 1935, and received her BS degree in elementary education from Indiana State University, followed by her master's degree from DePauw University. ...
