Deer Meadow Elephants

A pledge to the Indianapolis Zoo led a first-grade class at Deer Meadow Primary School to educate themselves and the rest of the school about the plight of elephants in Africa. Each day, 96 elephants are killed in Africa, so Laura Brentlinger's class collected 96 elephants from August through October. The elephants are now displayed on a bulletin board for all to see.
