Beech Grove UMC to celebrate 58th anniversary

On Sunday, March 8, the Beech Grove United Methodist Church will celebrate the 58th anniversary of the reopening of the church. Worship service is at 11 a.m. with a pitch-in dinner to follow. The church was closed for six years before a petition was taken around in 1957 by Hila Brattain and Mary Shonkwiler, both now deceased, and Helen Knauer who remains an active member of the church.
