PLAINFIELD -- The driver killed Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash has been identified as 62-year-old Bruce Stuart of Greencastle, Indiana State Police announced Saturday. Phyllis Ann Dreher, 76, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015. Born Aug. 27, 1938 in Oaktown, Ind., she was the daughter of Wilbur Lewis and Katherine (Boger) Charley. She was a graduate of Silver Creek High School, Sellersburg. Phyllis had worked at the Van Bibber Lake Conservancy for four years and previously was an office manager and did tax preparation for HR Block in Greencastle, Danville and Brownsburg...

Clinton Burke Gass, 95, professor emeritus of mathematics at DePauw University, where he taught for more than three decades, died July 27, 2015 in Logan, Utah. A community memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 22 at Gobin United Methodist Church, Greencastle, with light refreshments and social time with family from 1 p.m. and a celebratory service at 2 p.m...

Julia Dietrich Knuppel, 94, Greencastle, died Aug. 10, 2015 at Greencastle. She was born on June 12, 1921 in Bloomington, the daughter of William Henry Dietrich and Katherine (Whiteside) Dietrich and was the youngest of eight siblings. She graduated from Bloomington High School in 1938, earned an AB in English from Indiana University in 1942, a master's degree from the University of Illinois in 1952 and completed all but the dissertation for a PhD in English from the University of Illinois...

PUTNAMVILLE -- It was another beautiful night for racing at Lincoln Park Speedway and the pits were full on Saturday night. AJ Hopkins picked up another sprint car win at LPS with Tyler Nicely adding his second straight UMP Modified victory at the Putnamville oval. Steve Peeden continued his domination at Lincoln Park, winning his eighth UMP Super Stock win of the season and AJ Smith added another bomber victory to his list...
