PUTNAMVILLE -- An overturned semi in western Putnam County has slowed traffic in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70, Indiana State Police reported. The first report of the accident came from the ISP Putnamville Post's twitter feed at 11:49 a.m., with Sgt. Joe Watts reporting that troopers and other emergency agencies were responding to an overturned semi near the 31-mile marker...

ROACHDALE--A very good Tri-West softball team came to Roachdale Tuesday to take on a very confident North Putnam Cougar team. Despite a win on Monday night over Greencastle, the Bruins defeated the Cougars, winning 9-1. North Putnam only had five hits in the game and all were singles. They did not have more than one hit in an inning, which killed them only having one inning where they went three up and three down...

The Greencastle Tiger Cub track team ran its first meet of the season Tuesday evening. The girls' team outpaced the Danville Warriors 104-24, while the boys were edged out 71-59. Emma Wilson and Rose Lemier-Maurichitch led the way for the ladies picking up five wins and asecond place for the Cubs. The Cougars dominated the meet by winning in 14 of 16 events and performing well...

CLOVERDALE - South Putnam avenged its home loss Tuesday after falling 6-3 to Cloverdale Monday. The Eagles held onto hope after scoring its runs early and used late-game defense to pull out the 7-6 win. Haiden Harbert-Davis got things started with a single in the first inning that turned into a run for CHS but South Putnam countered with two runs at the top of the second inning. A passed ball allowed Aiden LeBlanc a score and Daniel Grundlock recorded an RBI when his ground out scored Kyle Hall...

CLOVERDALE -- The South Putnam softball team cashed in on its opportunity to settle the score against its Cloverdale rival Tuesday, after the two teams played to an 8-8 tie Monday.
