Born Oct. 4, 1938 in Putnam County, the daughter of Dennis "Smokey" and Eva (McCullough) Goodpaster and attended Belle Union High School. Maxine had been a cook with the Belle Union High School and DePauw University for several years and retired from the Putnam County Clerk's Office...

CLOVERDALE -- Manager Scott Creager of Utilities Management and Control (UMAC) reported that the Cloverdale Water Plant has kept up with the recent rainfall during the Cloverdale Town Council’s regular meeting on Tuesday. Although more than seven inches of rain has fallen since April 26, the plant’s new UV E. coli treatment system has managed the workload just fine.
