Late Tuesday morning a motorist discovered a tree had fallen on the County Road 375 East bridge over Clear Creek in southwestern Floyd Township. The tree appears to have uprooted, with recent rains likely a contributing factor. There was no obvious damage to the 98-year-old iron bridge.

PUTNAMVILLE — Saturday afternoon’s storm fronts spared Lincoln Park Speedway their wrath for an evening of racing and Brownsburg’s A.J. Hopkins was one of five drivers to take advantage. Hopkins took over the lead in the sprint car A-main with six laps remaining and claimed his third win of the season at LPS. Derek Groomer knows how to get to victory lane as well, as he also picked up his third feature win by edging out Travis Shoulders for the UMP Modified title...

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Andrew Luck’s big secret is finally out. He’s been throwing a football for weeks — and now he’s throwing in public, too.
