CLOVERDALE — A Jeffersonville man suffered life-threatening injuries Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in eastern Putnam County. At 11:07 a.m., 55-year-old Martin Samourian was westbound on Interstate 70 near the 42-mile marker. Witnesses told Indiana State Police investigators that the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling at excessive speeds and had been weaving in and out of traffic recklessly...

CLOVERDALE -- A Cloverdale council member is now at the heart of two recent complaints for alleged hostile behavior toward town employees. During a special town council meeting held Tuesday evening, Town Manager Wayne Galloway presented two formal complaints against Gary Bennington which stem from a recent confrontation at the town’s wastewater plant...

While police detained a man they identified only as a suspect in a Tuesday stabbing on Greencastle’s South Side, no one has been arrested or charged with a crime in the case. Police are continuing to investigate the afternoon incident in which a 46-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the kidney area...

The south entrance/exit of the Stardust Hills community onto Burma Road in Cloverdale will now be closed until further notice. In an email sent to the Banner Graphic and town officials Thursday afternoon, Clerk-Treasurer Cheryl Galloway wrote that, "After many complaints about the condition of the south entrance/exit of Stardust Way onto Burma (Road) and the safety of the citizens, the Town will close that entrance/exit until further notice to through traffic."...
