As area children awoke to a two-hour school delay Thursday, winter weather that moved through the area overnight left in its wake a thin layer of ice and snow that stuck beautifully to trees, grass and other features such as Oakalla Covered Bridge over Big Walnut Creek in Madison Township. With more snow possible later on Thursday, temperatures were set to plummet overnight leading into a frigid Friday.
