CLOVERDALE -- The South Putnam Eagles traveled the short drive down 231 to visit the Cloverdale Clovers on Friday night, and the game couldn’t have turned out in a more opposite fashion for both teams. ROACHDALE — North Montgomery’s offense overcame an early miscue to give the Chargers the lead early in the second quarter and the defense pitched a shutout the rest of the way in a 22-8 season-opening win over North Putnam.
