WEST TERRE HAUTE – Class 1A No. 7-ranked South Putnam stayed undefeated on the season with a 36-12 victory at West Vigo on Friday night. The Eagles have clinched the Western Indiana Conference “Green Division” title.

The Greencastle Tiger Cubs had lost four in a row with the latest three of the losses by either one point or in the final minute. That can be rough on a team, but the host Tiger Cubs used a strong second half to punish the Brown County Eagles 48-14 on Friday night on John Fallis Field. Gerald Ray McGuire II, 43, of Cloverdale, passed away Sept. 23, 2020. He was born June 26, 1977 to the late Gerald and Edith (Long) McGuire. Gerald married Miley J. Standeford Oct. 20, 2018 and she survives. Kevin Lyle Oxford, 60, of Cloverdale, passed away Sept. 24, 2020. He was born Dec 14, 1959 to the late Ralph and Wilma (Case) Oxford. Kevin married Lanna (Denise) Parker on June 14, 1986 and she survives.
