After several months of discussions, the boards of United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) and United Way of Putnam County (UWPC) have voted to combine operations and function as United Way of Central Indiana, serving the areas of Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan and Putnam counties...

CLOVERDALE — Putnam County has been named one of six communities statewide to be part of the Rural Opportunity Zone Initiative (ROZI), an effort that provides technical assistance and capacity-building support to rural areas. In order to better serve the public, the Putnam County Animal Care and Control Shelter is now open on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. for adoptions. All animal surrenders are still by appointment only.
