The talk of downtown Greencastle for more than a week now, the Greencastle bicentennial mural on the side of Dick's Barber Shop looks to be near completion Wednesday morning, even before the arrival of artist Damien Mitchell. While consensus seems to have developed over the subjects of the mural, no definitive word has come from the artists or the Putnam County Mural Project committee.

Garnet Ann Bacon, 68, passed away on Sept. 4, 2023. She leaves a legacy of love and compassion. Garnet is survived by her children, Michelle Wood (Chris Wood) and Jessica Wourms, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Cameron and Jessa.
