Mary Eunice Nelson, 90, Greencastle, died Sunday.
Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of H.W. and Ethel (Pierce) Sutherlin.
She married Louis E. "Shacks" Nelson on Jan. 28, 1933. He preceded her in death.
She was a housekeeper for the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority at DePauw University for more than 37 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a member of the Beech Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughter Jean Bruner and husband Bob, Greencastle; daughter Charlene Clifford and husband Jack, Bainbridge; son Darell "Pete" Nelson and wife Marcia, Greencastle, seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Leroy Nelson, brothers Oscar Sutherlin and Wayne Sutherlin, sister Madonna Sutherlin, and granddaughter Susan Clifford.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Little Walnut Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesady šat the funeral home.
