Marjorie A. (Walbring) Phillips

Marjorie A. (Walbring) Phillips, 79, Greencastle, died Tuesday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Jordan Village, she was the daughter of Fred and Floy (Neese) Walbring.

A 1945 graduate of Greencastle High School, she had been a sales associate with Mason Jewelers for 18 years, a bookkeeper with Phillips Electric Wholesale, and a partner in Phillips Electric Service.

She was a member of First Christian Church, Greencastle, and was involved in the Christian Women's Fellowship.

She married Cecil Phillips on March 6, 1946. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Clinton Phillips and wife Ruth, Newnan, Ga., and Kris Phillips and wife Chere, Cloverdale; sister Virginia Hanna and husband Dan, Greencastle; brother Louis Andy Walbring and wife Marcie, Plainfield; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday.
