Mary M. O'Hair, 68, Pittsboro, formerly of Brick Chapel, died Friday at Hendricks Regional Health, Danville.

Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Richard C. and Margaret (Rossick) Baird. She married Ernest Reese O'Hair on Aug. 17, 1956, and he survives.

She attended Clinton Center School and was a 1956 graduate of Bainbridge High School.

She had worked as a secretary in the Bainbridge school system for more than 20 years, working in the special education department. She had previously worked at IBM, the Putnam County Treasurer's office, and the license branch for several years.

She was a member of the Brick Chapel United Methodist Church.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Lisa Ann Purdue and husband Pat, Brownsburg; a son, Robert Wayne O'Hair and wife Kelly, Texas; two sisters, Connie Newgent and husband Charles, and Helen Clodfelter and husband Alan, all of Greencastle; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Billy Ray Baird.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with the Rev. Hallie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
