David W. Jones

David W. Jones, 64, Avon, died Saturday at Davenport, Fla.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of William Louis and Ardith (Long) Jones. He married Karen (Chapman) Jones, and she survives.

He retired from General Motors in 1999.

Additional survivors include his mother, of Greencastle; a son, Brent Jones, Plainfield; a daughter, Nikki Jones, Plainfield; a stepson, Brent Taylor, Danville; a stepdaughter, Brenda Taylor, Avon; two brothers, Steve Jones, Koleen, Ind., and Kim Jones, Brazil; four grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date.
