Carolyn J. Hellyer, 68, Bainbridge, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Roanoke, she was the daughter of William Jennings and Mary Ima (Stigers) Tribbett.

She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary where she was active in the children's Christmas party, Eagles and Moose, all in Greencastle.

She married David Hellyer, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Beverly Jean Collins and husband Mark Sr., Bainbridge, and Mary H. Boller, Bainbridge; and David Hellyer Jr. and wife Sheryl, Bainbridge; three brothers, Elmer Tribbett, South Carolina, Robert Tribbett, Owascco, and James Tribbett, Logansport; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gerald Tribbett, and sister Alice Campbell.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rockfield Cemetery, Rockfield.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle.
