Funeral arrangements are pending at the Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle.

May 29, 1921-June 11, 2006

Virginia Mae Myers, 85, Greencastle, died Sunday in Greencastle.

She was the daughter of Kinnie and Ethel Watts.

She was a licensed practical nurse.

She married Forrest Shelby, who preceded her in death, and later married George Myers, who also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her children, Jim and Sharon Moore, Cloverdale, Howard and Sally Nicholson, Columbus, Ohio, Larry and Cindy Morlan, Coatesville, and Steven Douglas Myers, Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Edward Watts, sister Vera Martin and stepson Daryl Myers.

There will be no funeral.

A family memorial celebration will take place at a later date.

Chandler-Hays Funeral Home, Greencastle, is handling arrangements.

Verna Jo Jack, 68, Rockville, died Thursday at Union Hospital.

Born in Colorado, she was the daughter of Alfred Monroe and Angie (Tunis) Lopshire.

A graduate of Bellmore High School, she was a homemaker and a member of Rockville United Methodist Church.

She married Jimmie Jack on Dec. 8, 1956. He died Feb. 24, 1995.

Surviving are four daughters, Rita Myers, Martha Holaday and husband Mark, Anita Rozsa and Clara Jack, all of Rockville; son Norman Jack, Rockville; sister Maye Coleman and husband Roy, Missouri, brothers Ray Lopshire and wife Hillary, Florida, and Jerry Lopshire and wife Karin, German; and several grandchildren and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Ellen Jack.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rockville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jenny Charles officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery near Hollands-burg.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Barnes Mortuary, Rock-ville, is handling arrangements.
