Jay E. Delp, 73, Marshall, died Tuesday at Select Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born in Mulberry, he was the son of Leroy and Fern (Britton) Delp.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a retired farmer and had worked at the Parke County Fairgrounds for more than 25 years. He was a member of Marshall Federated Church.
He married Dema Fruits on Aug. 26, 1956 in Alamo. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Stephen Delp and Daryl Delp, both of Marshall; daughter Sharon Bodine, Marshall; two brothers, Robert Delp, Avon, and Ralph Delp, Frostproof, Fla.; sister Fern Pedigo, Lafayette, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, son Ronald, and two brothers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Marshall Federated Church with Rev. Don Perry and Rev. John Kessinger officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Marshall.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at the church.
