Douglas Todd Lawson, 44, Coatesville, died Saturday at Heartland Health Care, Avon.

He was the son of Richard E. and Marian A. (Ward) Lawson. He married Jacqueline S. (Miles) Lawson on Oct. 16, 1998, and she survives.

He worked at BalKamp Manufacturing in Indianapolis for 20 years as a lift truck driver. Also, he was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church and the Indiana Bass Association. A 1980 graduate of North Putnam High School , he then graduated from Ivy Tech in Terre Haute in 1982.

Additional survivors include a son, Michael Lawson, Greencastle; step-son, Cory R. Martin, Coatesville; step-daughter, Amy R. Martin, Eminence; his parents of Bainbridge; two brothers, Jeffrey L. Lawson and wife Julie, Linden, and William Chad Lawson and wife Heather, Bainbridge; two grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Steve Ranson officiating. Burial will follow at Bainbridge Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
