Bob Carlisle, 70, Cloverdale, died Saturday at his residence.

Born in Dugger, he was the son of John Robert and Imo Elizabeth (Hale) Carlisle.

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Cloverdale Community Baptist Church.

He married Rebecca Cox on Nov. 17, 1979. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents, Dugger; sister Shirley Ann Pope and husband Russell, Martinsville; brother John Edward Carlisle and wife Ginger, Wyoming, Ill.

He was preceded in death by sister Nelda Lou Carlisle.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Doe Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is noon-2 p.m. Wednesday.
