Polling places around county announced
The list of Putnam County polling places for the General Election on Nov. 7 has been released by Clerk Opal Sutherlin.
The precincts and pooling locations are as follows:
-- Russell -- Russellville Community Center.
-- Franklin North -- Roachdale Fire Department.
-- Franklin South -- North Putnam High School.
-- Jackson -- Roachdale Fire Department.
-- Clinton -- VanBibber Lake Conservancy.
-- Monroe East -- Bainbridge Community Building.
-- Monroe West -- Brick Chapel Methodist Church.
-- Floyd West -- Floyd Township Fire District.
-- Floyd East -- Floyd Township Fire District.
-- Madison -- Madison Township Fire Department.
-- Greencastle North -- Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building.
-- First North -- Putnam County Annex (formerly Jones School).
-- Second West -- National Guard Armory.
-- Second East -- National Guard Armory.
-- First South -- Putnam County Courthouse.
-- Third West -- Miller Education Center (also known as West Central Education Center).
-- Third East -- Greencastle High School.
-- Fourth West -- Greencastle VFW.
-- Fourth East -- Ridpath Elementary School.
-- Foxridge -- Greencastle Middle School.
-- Limedale -- Putnam County Annex Commissioners Room (formerly known as Jones School).

Voters are also reminded they must now must provide a government-issued photo ID before casting a ballot in person at the polls on election day. An ID must fit the following criteria:
-- ID must display photo.
-- Name on ID must conform with voter registration record. (Conform does not mean identical.)
-- ID must contain an expiration date and either still be current or have expired sometime after Nov. 2, 2004 (the last General Election day).
-- ID must be issued by the State of Indiana or the U.S. Government.
