Greencastle falls to North Montgomery

LINDEN -- The Greencastle boys' basketball team took a tough loss to North Montgomery Friday, 77-40.

Zach Remsburg led the Tiger Cubs with 15 points, while Brennan Burks scored nine points. Cal Gard added six points to the Greencastle effort.

D.J. Byrd led North Montgomery with 25 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field, while Kevin Kyle added 23 points and 10 rebounds.

The Chargers outrebounded the Tiger Cubs, 33-24, in the game.

Greencastle shot just 14-of-46 for 30 percent from the field and committed 16 turnovers.

North Montgomery ends the season at 17-3 and Greencastle finishes at

10-11.

The Tiger Cubs start sectional play Friday at Owen Valley at 7:30 p.m.
