Cougars fall to Trojans at home Saturday

The North Putnam High School baseball team suffered a loss Saturday, falling to Covington 5-0.

The Trojans took the lead in the third when Jarred Coften scored on an Cougars error. They added four more in the fifth for the final.

The Cougars collected five hits for the day with Brayden Dahlstrom pacing the team with two hits while Levi Elliot, Jake Mullis and Kyle Rooker had one each.

Dahlstrom took the loss for the team while striking two out batters and giving up three hits and one earned run.

The Cougars are back in action today when they host Speedway in a West Central Conference matchup, starting at 4:30 p.m.
