The four Putnam County volleyball squads learned of postseason foes Monday as pairings for the 35th Indiana High School Athletic Association Volleyball Tournament were drawn.

While three of the county teams are familiar with their competition, one is not.

Greencastle is 21-4 this season and will face Brown County in the second game of the Class 3A Owen Valley Sectional Thursday, Oct. 19.

Defending sectional champion Sullivan will face Edgewood in the first game of the sectional.

The winners of the first two games will face each other Saturday, Oct. 21, in the first of two semifinal games. The second game will feature Owen Valley and West Vigo.

Greencastle did not face Brown County this season.

The three remaining county teams are all familiar with the competition in the Class 2A Tri-West Sectional.

South Putnam will get things started in the postseason, facing the host Bruins Thursday, Oct. 19, prior to a match pitting North Putnam against last year's sectional winner, Cascade.

Cloverdale is scheduled to face Monrovia in the third match of the sectional while South Vermillion will face the winner of the first match, both on Oct. 21.

The winners of the second and third matches will also face each other on Oct. 21 prior to the sectional finale.
